Re: 503 Could not process RCPT command when in this state
You should never enable xclient, it allows exploit of of your ME server.... Whoa, interesting. (I just noticed this reply buried deep in my spam folder.) Out of curiosity, I opened up my ME settings, and I don't even see the "XCLIENT" command as an option to check in the list now. Maybe the ME devs...

Re: Configuring MEPURGE
@DavidCT - It's a bit of a hack, but I've directly deleted the *.MAI files from the drive. You could build a batch script and run it on the MAILROOT folders for the various info@xxxxxxxxx.com. There are several example ways to delete files older than N days on this page: https://stackoverflow.com/qu...

Re: Redirection Handling stuck - will not do "Normal" redirection
I checked the registry and the "Force Remailing" key is set to "0" as expected.
@MailEnable-Ian - Any other suggestions on how to get it working correctly again?

Redirection Handling stuck - will not do "Normal" redirection
Recently I changed the redirection handling setting from "Normal" to "Remail" to do some debugging, and then changed it back to "Normal" however ME appears to be stuck on the "Remail" setting. I've recycled all the services numerous times, and even rebooted the machine several times after changing t...

Re: IMAP search not working for HEADER searches
Perfect. It seems to be working now, as shown below: Processing search term 'FROM "user@mail.domain.com" HEADER "List-Unsubscribe" "" BEFORE 01-Feb-2021' Your search found 1 messages [39004] Working with messages[39004] ID #39004: "[SPAM**V2] Last chance to use your Super Secret VIP offer." received...

Re: IMAP search not working for HEADER searches
@MailEnable-Ian --> Thanks! I installed the beta you linked and it's working better, but it's not quite fully fixed/compliant with the RFC. It's still not working for searches where the header simply exists in the email, without specifying a search term within the header value. If the string to sear...

IMAP search not working for HEADER searches
RFC3501 specifies the ability to submit IMAP searches on message headers https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3501#page-49 HEADER <field-name> <string> Messages that have a header with the specified field-name (as defined in [RFC-2822]) and that contains the specified string in the text of the header (wha...

Re: Indexing service issues - Root element is missing
I've been tinkering with this the last few days and I think I've stumbled across the following folder that seems to have corrected my issue. [[Mailroot]]\Config\MailboxSearchIndexing\InitialisationRequests Creating an empty file in this folder with the syntax "user@domain.com.upd" caused ME to recre...

Re: Indexing service issues - Root element is missing
Hi, The first step is to upgrade to version 9.81 as there were fixes in this area. http://www.mailenable.com/downloadprevious.asp Thanks Ian - I finally had a chance to upgrade to latest version (v10.19) but it's still throwing the same error. Are there temp files I can clean up that may be causing...

Indexing service issues - Root element is missing
I have a small server (ME v9.72) with a number of inboxes that are not indexing. I look at the index service logs, and it's constantly throwing this log entry. I've tried recycling the index service, but that didn't help. I've also tried creating the "_change.dty" file in the mailbox root, but that ...

Re: SMTP debug log contains "Accept Security Context Failed with error code 80090308 "
Was there ever any resolution to this issue? I've got the same error (for IMAP server) showing in my ME log files. However, I know that SSL works at least for some clients. One person complained their device was intermittently failing to connect, so I'm trying to dig into why. My device works just f...

IMAPMsgEXPUNGE::Warning::Unable to Delete File (error)
I've recently started getting this error filling up my debug logs. I had this issue a while back, but it seemed to clean itself up for a while, but now is back. I've recycled the IMAP service multiple times to no avail, and run the diagnostic utility which shows no issues. (permissions on the IME_Sy...

Re: cheapest SSL certificate? CA authority?
Use http://www.startssl.com/ Price: $0.00 (free) I've used them for years and like them. I've setup ME to use their certificate and had no real issues. If you're a small business, or personal shop, the SSL cert fees from the "big guys" are crazy. Click for a feature list, and what's included with th...

Re: ME7 Cant Receive Mail (SOLVED)
I fixed my issue. The XCLIENT command wasn't checked in the allowed commands setting. See this thread for exact details.
