Re: Multiple SSL Certificates

Hi, If SNI is enabled, then you don't need to select any certificate. The services will just look up the certificate for the domain the client request in the Windows certificate store and try to use it. If a matching certificate cannot be found then it will fall back to using the one selected in the...

Re: Bulk add privileged IP addresses to allow relay

Hi,

Yes, sorry, you can edit the file directly, and the SMTP service does not need restarting.

Re: Graylisting with O365 Mailboxes

Hi, Office365 I think has over 500k IPs valid in their range, so it's not possible to whitelist them individually, and there is no CIDR exceptions available for greylisting. What you need to do is to add the domains themselves to the whitelist for greylisting, since it will use their SPF record to v...

Re: Policies Tab removed from mailenable 10.20

Hi, Did the page disappear immediately when you unselected it? Or did you close/reopen the administration program? Is it still missing when you reopen the admin program? When the page is shown depends on the licensing, it is checking for either the Enterprise version or version 8 or later of Profess...

Re: License Issue on Attachments

Hi, The modified date looks incorrect. Is that in the Mail Enable\bin and bin64 path? There should be two of the files on the server, but only 2 and their modified date should be when you installed it. Having an old modified date means that the files are not being replaced on installation. You could...

Re: License Issue on Attachments

Hi, This usually means either a reboot is required after the upgrade, since it was not able to replace a file during installation, or that there is a DLL from an older version somewhere on the server still, that it is picking up (in a path that exists in the PATH environment variable). Search for th...

Re: ME Tray Statistics not resetting

Hi,

I've raised the issue for fixing, but the problem looks to be that some items are not being reset on restart of the SMTP service. You can reset these manually by editing the values in the registry branch:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Mail Enable\Mail Enable\Connectors\SMTP\Counters

Re: Quarantine user tool

Hi, No, sorry, the quarantine folder is global. If you need users to control their own emails that fail a filter you can only really mark it as junk to send to junk folder. The Enterprise version has mailbox level filters so you can specify a folder to redirect to, but these would need to be configu...

Re: SSL on IMAP provide Wrong certificate

Hi, It uses the subject name in the certificate so that if you replace a certificate you don't need to select it again, it will be picked up. The services will check to make sure it has not expired and select any non-expired one it finds first. Make sure you are using a recent version of MailEnable,...

Re: Open .mai file in Outlook without renaming to .eml

Hi,

You'll need to make sure you add /eml to the command being executed. So the command in your Windows registry should be something like:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Root\Office16\OUTLOOK.EXE /eml "%1"

The /eml is needed to tell Outlook what to open it as.

Installation stuck or services not restarting?

Microsoft recently released a buggy Windows update (KB4338815), which could prevent IIS from restarting, as well as some of the mail services. Microsoft released a fix, so use Windows update to apply, or if you need a fix to just address the issue, or need more information, check the following link:...

Re: 10.17 Install not working

Hi, If you are getting the installer pausing, it may be that the installer cannot close/stop the application pools under IIS (which is needs to do in order to replace the files). You can confirm this by checking the MEInstall.log file in the Mail Enable\bin directory. It will have the line below as ...
