Webmail mobile notifications

I want to convert all my phone/mobile users to use webmail instead of an email client for security reasons.

The question that pops up is how can the user get notified when a new email arrives using webmail on the phone?

Re: How do I prevent an email from ending up in Junk?

Thanks for your response. I recommend adding a global email whitelist, or at least a whitelist at the management level. Very few of my users use webmail, rather their client such as Outlook. I personally would use the global whitelist for TLD's. Adding wildcards fixed the filters issue. You need to ...

Re: Message filter inspect wrong field

After trying lots of things and browsing the web I found the answer. you must use wildcards before the word unless it is a complete email address for the From header match The safest bet is to just use a "*" wildcard character before and after any word in the list. Now it works. They don't...

Message filter inspect wrong field

I am having a lot of messages pass because the filter criteria " Where the From header line contains specific words" is inspecting the wrong field. There are two from fields. The initial Received: from user.net and the From field after the subject line which contains the email address of t...

How do I prevent an email from ending up in Junk?

How do I prevent a legit email from ending up in Junk? There is no email whitelist. Not having email address whitelists is a bad idea. I am not going to whitelist, let's say, a gmail, or yahoo SMTP IP just so one user is whitelisted. That is insane and more of a security risk than a spoofed email. B...

Re: How to add email address whitelist to global domain

Not having domain whitelists is a bad idea. I am not going to whitelist, let's say, a gmail, or yahoo SMTP IP just so one user is whitelisted. That is insane and more of a security risk than a spoofed email. Also, using a filter in Message Manager doesn't work. I have the first filter looking at the...

Search Index properites

I am a bit confused as to the optimum setting for the Search Index concurrency limits. Looks like the default is 2. The index service uses a lot of CPU, so I want to reduce that. I do notice that the update requests come and go. Is this an indication on how many concurrent connects I should allow? D...

Re: web.config rewritten

The web.config being reinstalled also kills HSTS which makes the webgui webpage error out.

web.config rewritten

Seems the webmail and webAdmin web.config is being rewritten by MailEnable. I have some redirect URL rewrite rules to redirect http to https. I think the update to 10.15 may have deleted my rules. If this is what caused it, please do not rewrite the web.config file when applying updates. This is ver...

Re: Enable filters for local delivery

I have 10 different filters performing different tasks the last one being Spam Assassin. The Spam Assassin filter always seems to either go first or when I hit Stop processing filters in the filter rules, it still goes to Spam Assassin. What I want to happen is process the filters in order and have ...

Re: Enable filters for local delivery

So, all local email passes through the MTA? Also, I have Spam Assassin set as the last filter, but it is still the first filter. Do I need to disable the Message filter Extension for Spam Assassin, and if I do, does the custom filter I setup for SA still work? I want SA to be the last check. So this...

Enable filters for local delivery

Is it possible to allow filters to be applied to local delivery?
Anotherwords, the sender and recipient both have a mailbox in the MailEnable Post Offices.
I want to filter that mail as well. It is not being filtered now.

There should be when using smart host. I would like to see all outbound email sent to a dedicated SMTP IP.

Re: Attachment vs File server size limits in Webmail

This does present a problem and makes the file storage pretty much useless for any file over 5MB, which is the limit I set for attachments in web.config.
