Does it really matter? I don't mind if my clients use their ISP (SBC or whatever's) SMTP server as it reduces the load to my own equipment. Just my opinion. Maybe I am missing something?

Manage contacts/calander from within outlook?

Is this possible? I have customers who have outlook and maintain quite a number of contacts and calander information in there. Is there a way to have this information transfered to the mailenable system such that they can see their contacts/calander in the web interface (when they don't have outlook...

Join and Leave Messages (lists)

Is there a way to configure a "welcome to the list" message to be sent when someone subscribes to a list. Also a "sorry to see you go" message when they unsubscribe?

Thanks!

Some users cannot send email with outlook

Some of my users are getting the following error: Send test e-mail message: The specified server was found, but there was no response from the server. Please verify that the port and SSL information is correct. To Access these settings close this dialog, then click More Settings and click on the Adv...

Welcome message

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I know I saw it but cannot find it now. Where do I configure the default "welcome message" sent to users when I create a new mailbox??

Thanks!

Ahh but my users who are not admins, want to be able to create these "groups" in their contact lists. Adding a category to the contact lists and letting them email to all members of the category would be enough. I don't think this can be done in any way right now without granting admin access.

I got a response from suppor that seemed to do the trick. For posterity, I'll post it here so others who may be searching for a solution can find one: We have seen this problem before, and we have told our customers to revert back to TAB, Follow the manual's explanation on how to migrate, and ensure...

Just the MMC

I manage all my servers remotely (which I am sure many others do too). It would be nice to be able to just download the MMC portion of the package so that you can use the Remote Administration package to manage your servers. Just an idea. Perhaps this already exists? I was able to get the MMC by ins...

That's not what I'm asking. If I have 3 domains for a postoffice, how do I give the administrator the ability to add a mailbox for domain1 separately from domain2 or 3. For example, one postoffice with domains: acme1.com acme2.com acme3.com I give the postmaster admin access (through webadmin) and h...

Contact Groups

This is probably a new feature request but I cannot find any way to group my contacts so I can send one message to one group of people and not another. Or maybe there is?

Managing multiple domains through webadmin

I can create a webadmin user that has control over multiple domains but I don't see a way for him to specify mailboxes for each individual domain. Or am I missing something? I don't have "can add and remove domains" checked on his account. I simply created his postoffice with a few domains and hoped...

Further, I re-migrated back to tab delimited files and now all users (even those I created under SQL server) can log into the system (webadmin and webmail). Conclusion: something with the way ME uses SQL server messes with the authentication routines. I guess I am stuck with tab files at present but...

More information: After 4 hours of trying I completely uninstalled the system and started again. This time I created a domain and mailbox and tested webADMIN/MAIL prior to moving the SQL platform and they worked fine. So I then did the migration. I can still log into webadmin/mail from the user I cr...

Cannot authenticate (web client or admin)

I just installed ME for the first time. All default values. I then used the provider migration utility to set this pristine installation up on an SQL database. Everything seems fine except I cannot get access to the webmail client or administrator. It always says "authentication failed" and int he c...
