Re: Outgoing SMTP IP by Postoffice

That sounds perfect. So I will be able to assign a few post offices to outgoing IP A and a few others to outgoing IP B?? That way is somehow A is added to a block list than it won't effect B? I am assuming I can assign multiple post offices to a single IP. Would be rather silly to limit this to just...

Create outgoing filter?

I would like to do additional processing for all outgoing messages. I can write a program to do this but I do not know where to "attach" the executable such that it is run for each outgoing message. Can someone give me a pointer?

Thanks!

Re: Outgoing SMTP IP by Postoffice

I want to assign an outgoing IP by postoffice so that not every postoffice is effected when an IP is blacklisted or has a poor rep. That seems like it would be simple to do.

Potential Log Analyzer?

I am thinking about writing a log analyzer that would alert me to potential email server abuse. Before I do this I thought I'd ask the group if something like this already exists. Specifically, I would like to know if a mailbox is sending an unusual (based on a threshold) amount of outgoing emails a...

Outgoing SMTP IP by Postoffice

I have an installation with a lot of post offices. Inevitably, someone in one post office gets hacked into and that account used for spam which, in turn, causes the IP to be black listed until I can resolve it. Is there any way to specify an SMTP IP for outgoing mail on a post office basis so not ev...

Bug in script filtering

I have the following script filter: FilterResult=0 If _ not CriteriaMet([ME_HEADERS_CONTAIN],"*spamtitan*") and _ not [ME_SENDERAUTH] and _ not CriteriaMet([ME_HEADERS_CONTAIN],"*MailEnable WebMail*")_ THEN FilterResult=1 End If There are 3 criteria I am trying to filter on: 1. Did the email go thro...

Re: Implement NOT in filter

This works well. I have it filtering on when there is no header from the SPAM filter system. However, I have to also allow email from internal (mailbox to mailbox or postoffice to postoffice). Is there a criteria that detects if the email is from the mailenable server itself?

Re: Lock inbound to 1 IP for 1 postoffice

Well the spam filtering system does not support authenticated connections so I am back to blocking via a filter. I hope the IP blocking by postoffice feature makes it into the system as a new feature!

Bug in filter actions

I just found a bug in the filter actions for postoffices. Even though there is a 'remove' feature for an action, it doesn't actually remove it. Pressing 'remove' does nothing.

Just a heads up. I can at least disable the actions.

Re: Smart MX Spammers

Thanks Ian. It looks promising and it should, I think, allow me to mark as spam, anything not coming from a specific IP.

Re: What Syncs Notes ?

It's been a while but I don't think Notes is part of the ActiveSync specification. There's not even a note's part to the email apps on your phone. I solved this using EverNote and gsync, an addon to Outlook. Now when I create an outlook note, it shows up in Evernote which is available to me on all d...

Implement NOT in filter

I cannot seem to find where you would specify "NOT" in the filter area. Like "If message header does NOT contain specific words". I am sure it's here but I cannot seem to find how to implement it. Can someone please help?

Smart MX Spammers

So I have my postoffice email going through a spam host prior hitting MailEnable. It works wonderfully. Really cuts down on the mail getting to MailEnable. Problem is that other postoffices on my server do NOT use that spam solution so I cannot lock MailEnable to just the IP of the spam filter. I al...
