Attachment vs File server size limits in Webmail

Is there a way to limit the max size of attachments different to the size of files stored?
I want a max attachment size limit of 5MB and a file storage file size limit of 50MB in WebMail.

Is this possible?

Attachment Linking

Is there any way to do Attachment Linking with MailEnable? This is a much needed feature that I'm sure a lot of potential buyers have looked at and decided to go with Mdaemon. I have been using a proxy for the Attachment Linking, but it has too many limitations and causes MailEnable's MTA to not fil...

Inter domain outbound email

Does Smart Host or any other method allow internal email to be passed through an external server? What I want to do is have all outbound or inbound email from user1@mydomain.com to user2@mydomain.com pass through another server. I know how to do it for external addresses but that doesn't handle inte...

Re: IMAP Sync Slowwww.......

IMAP syncing doesn't have to go through the filters, right?
Anyone?

IMAP Sync Slowwww.......

I have one account that has 8 GB data and 5000+ messages in their email mailbox. I am using Outlook and also tried Thunderbird. The server is on the local network, so there is no internet lagg. This mailbox takes 4+ hours to synchronize. Now I know it is a lot of data, but it shouldn't take that lon...

Setup WebDAV

I have users who wish to use WebDAV. I could not find any documentation on how to do this. I enabled HTTPMail on port 8080 and 8443 and opened the firewall port. When I run this URL http://mysiteishere.com:8080/MyFiles or https://mysiteishere.com:8443/MyFiles I get this as a response MailEnable's We...

Re: MTA process running high

The attachment filter does not have the ability to strip the attachment. But I setup one that quarantines the email and sends a notification to the recipient. If there was a move attachment action, that would solve having to use the pickup event.

Do you not recommend using pickup events?

Re: MTA process running high

Been running that pickup event for a month or so and this is the only time I saw this. Could have been going on for a while. Noticed it when I went into the manager today to change some settings and the system was lagging real bad. I don't see any pickup events in the MTA log. Should I? I will let i...

Re: MTA process running high

MailEnable Enterprise 10.14 I have 9 filters and a pickup for attachments. I restarted the MTA service and the CPU usage dropped to normal. I am monitoring the MTA service with an app that will alert me if it happens again. Is this too many filters? Running a pretty fast server with SSD's and lots o...

Re: MTA process running high

I know this is an old thread, but I am also seeing the MTA service pegged at 100%.

Any resolutions?

Re: Working with mailing lists

In WebAdmin. Took me a while to realize that just double clicking on a list does not invoke the edit. You have to hit the edit button on the right of the list. Just an inconvenience thing, not critical.

Autodiscover broken

I setup autodiscover correctly with the A and SRV records and setup the correct https bindings in the IIS NETprotocol site with the cert. Setup the Domain and localhost protocols. I have used and setup autodiscover on other email servers (not ME) and they are working fine. When the client (Outlook) ...

Re: Autodiscover not working

Using IIS tracing the issue seems to be a 401 error access denied when trying to request the autodiscover info from ME. Using the Outlook built in autodiscovey test, it shows going to the proper place, but it returns the 401 error. I tried the same thing on a SM server and it works fine with all the...

Re: Autodiscover not working

Thanks for responding. Followed the ME notes to the letter. I have the correct SRV record and it responds correctly with nslookup. Also have the DNS A record autodiscover.mydomain.com setup. Also setup the SSL cert fot https://autodiscover.mydomain.com. Added the port 80 and 443 bindings to NETproto...
