Re: MailEnable Will Not Send Email Please Help, Not Solved

The forums are community based - and the responsiveness will be slower over the holiday period Dec 25- Jan 2. But in any respect, the issues you are having are not to do with the mail server. You will have them same issues irrespective of the mail server you use. In the case of sending to danboii96....

Re: Event Log errors 'failed to obtain lock on _activity.blk

Those errors are very serious and will need to be addressed. The most likely cause is that the message store was moved from another computer and the correct permissions were not applied. Specifically it means that IME_SYSTEM or LocalSystem (or whatever account the MailEnable services are running as)...

Re: 501 Error regarding MAIL FROM attribute

Hi, I suggest checking the SMTP Debug and activity logs and verify what the wordpress mailer is sending as the MAIL FROM command. The format you provided is legal and mailenable will not be rejecting that. Here is an example: 220 mail.mailenable.com ESMTP MailEnable Service, Version: 7.0--7.0 ready ...

Re: Random error: System.BadImageFormatException

The error appears to indicate a problem reading from disk. I suggest checking the event log for more information. There may be some other errors reading the volume in the event log.
Perhaps also try deleting all folders under /BIN/NetWebMail and then running the install kit for 6.75 again

Re: configure smtp on a developer server / redirecting

There is no option to deliver all messages to a local postoffice (because its not typical scenario that would apply to mailservers in general). You could just stop/disable the mail transfer agent and delete the messages from the queues (that will allow the SMTP connector to accept messages from your...

Re: IPAddressManager::OrderList raised an exception.

Hi, would it be possibLe to raise a support ticket under the defect catagory as at http://www.mailenable.com/support. To diagnose further we would need the SMTP debug and activity logs at the time of the problem occuring. These can be zipped and attached to the ticket or e-mailed to the ticket respo...

Re: Capture Email Content thru Pop3 Interface & Retain Forma

You would need to provide more information about your configuration. Eg: How are the messages being extracted via POP? Are you using a utility or component to do this? If they are being extracted via POP, then POP will simply send down the entire messagefrom the server. It is a question of what is t...

Re: Mobile Webmail, error loading the Reply page

Is there anything in the event log?
Maybe try accessing mobile webmail on the browser on the server itself. It should give a .NET stack trace if there is an error. If you could post that trace here, it will help diagnose the issue. Thanks.

Re: Filter Frustration

I would start diagnosing this with the zero zero kb files, I would check to see whether a resident AV scanner is monitoring the QUEUES folder. Ideally it should be excluded, since it is highly transactional. Also, I would suggest disabling any third party extensions of COM addins that may be interfe...

Re: WebAdmin hanging

Has this server been migrated from another MailEnable server recently or have there been any configuration changes made? The issue is most likely that the IME_ADMIN user does not have full access to the CONFIG directory and children. Here is how to diagnose: 1. I would check the event log for errors...

The Get function appears to be purely a generated wrapper, and does not seem to actually return anything other than success ie: http://meprotocols.localhost/webservices/SystemOptions.asmx?WSDL I have raised an issue to have the interface extended to provide more control over system options. It will ...

Re: changing the OS

If you intend to remain on version 3, then you need to install version 3 on the new server as well.
Otherwise, you would need to upgrade the source server first and then do the migration.
This is exampled in more detail here:
