If I am interpretting your question correctly, I think the answer is yes. As an example, some people often use MailEnable to scan for viruses or as a mail router. On the same server they may be running another mail server (like MS Exchange for example). All mail from MailEnable is relayed directly t...

Your ME server is detecting the messages addressed to your server as relay messages (most probably, the RCPT command contains a non-local address). Hence the server thinks these to be non-local (relay messages). It is a little hard to determine extactly what is going on without seeing the log files....

This error indicates that the identify credentials supplied within COM+ do not match Windows credentials for the IME_ADMIN account. In order to receive this error, it is likely that the IME_USER account is fine. There are details on solving this issue in the mailenable knowlede base. http://www.mail...

Remeber that you need to define your DNS Server(s) under the SMTP Connector. Make sure the ones specified match those assigned to your adapter. When you ping, you use the adapter settings... when ME sends, it uses the settings assigned under the SMTP connector.

The intention for upgrades is to allow you to simply install it over the top - It will ask you if you want to backup your settings (say yes). The underlying file formats and data storage for mailenable have not changed. You may be asked to reboot your sever at the end of the upgrade. If you have pro...

We are investigating this. Your right though, the default ME does allow relay where the sender address is local. The reason for this was to prevent a flurry of questions regarding why people cannot send mail from their client (unless they had already worked out how to enable authentication). There h...

The most important piece of info is working out id DNS resolution is causing messages to be delayed in the outbound queue. You should check your SMTP Debug and Activity logs to determine if there are DNS Errors (and search the Knowledge Base for any error codes). This will provide evidence of TTL ex...
