I looked at the assembly using Reflector.

I think part of the problem is that you are using long return values. Longs in .NET are 64 bits (Int64). Since the actual providers return DWORD, you should be using int, which is 32 bits (Int32).

Hey MartynK, I've modified my Filter framework to support GlobalMultiUse objects in VB6. This will allow you to load up your MEFilter configuration, spam lists, etc. one time instead of every time the filter is called. So this should definitely speed up your MEFilter and make it more efficient. .NET...

I was wondering why I hadn't heard from you. Unfortunately I didn't receive an email. I've been checking my junk mail as well, just in case. The email address is correct, as I've gotten a couple of replies already. Anyway, try again, then post on the forum. I'll check the logs to see why I'm not get...

It is "Unix" time, which is basically the number of seconds since Jan 1, 1970. The time is in UTC (GMT).

For example: 1092420508 = 2004-08-13 18:08:28 UTC

Re: block spam

...but now all the email that used to go to tony@blahblah.com gets sent to the postmaster@blahblah.com, just like all the other email for which there is no mail box!! help please! Not necessarily. This would only happen if you have a Catch-all mailbox enabled. Otherwise, mail sent to non-existent e...

Create pickup events as VB6 DLL or .NET assemblies

I have created a framework for writing MTA Pickup Events using VB6 or .NET. These event handlers are loaded as DLLs and run in-process to MailEnable services. No more creating a new process for each event. This framework requires ME Professional as it uses the same interface that the Anti-Virus plug...

Replacement AddressMap Provider written in C#

Hey, I just wanted to let everyone know that I wrote a replacement AddressMap provider in C#. This new provider supports advanced wildcard support and the ability to reject email addresses at the SMTP transport level. Check out the thread in http://forum.mailenable.com/viewtopic.php?p=18942 Note: th...

Ok, I think I'm ready to have you test my provider. Here is my test ADDRESS-MAP.TAB [SMTP:test@test.com] [SF:test.com/test] test.com [SMTP:*bounce@test.com] [SF:test.com/REJECT] test.com [SMTP:*] 0 System [SMTP:abuse@test.com] [SF:test.com/Postmaster] test.com [SMTP:postmaster@test.com] [SF:test.com...

Ok, I got my provider working just fine. However, I've run into a snag. It seems that there is a problem with the MMC and my provider DLL. It keeps throwing an exception. However, I have been able to use the COM AddressMap object without any problems, so I'm not sure what's wrong. Besides, since the...

I believe you can update the AUTORESPOND.CFG file in the user's mailbox. Unfortunately you will need to do that by hand for each mailbox.

Sorry, I kind of dropped off the forum for awhile. I've been very busy with work. Anyway, I've revisited my replacement AddressMapProvider project. It is a replacement for the current tab-delimited AddressMapProvider [MEAIAMTD.DLL], so the existing ADDRESS-MAP.TAB file is supported. It basically wor...

I believe the RBL is checked during the initial connection, so delaying the mail wouldn't have any effect.

Gabe, without seeing the logs or the mail headers, it's hard to say if something is wrong.

If you don't want to post it on the forum, you can send it to me directly. My email is in my profile.
