Re: How can I disable MailEnable from my server?

In MailEnable under Servers > localhost > System right-click on Services Status and select Stop All Services then, in Control Panel under Administrative Tools > Services, set all services associated with MailEnable to disabled (they are all named MailEnable ….).

Re: Permissions problem migrating from Win2008 to Win2012

You could try something like Robocopy to transfer the files and select NOT to transfer security.

Re: SMTP Drop Folder - Failing to Find Headers Errors

ME Standard was more than likely not designed for a "shared" configuration, seeing as this is the free version. What you are experiencing is two email servers that expect to be the sole provider of email services clashing with each other. Why do you not use the Enterprise version with its support fo...

Re: High outgoing volume detection

Right-click the ME tray application and select Configure Alerts. You can elect to get emails when monitored service events are triggered.

Unfortunately you cannot currently set your own threshold values, but it is at least something.

Defect reports

Do you not have a better method of reporting program defects than sending a suggestion through from the support page ? I sent through a report at the beginning of the month regarding the search indexing service crashing and have, to date, received no feedback whatsoever. There is also no obvious way...

Re: Mailenable: Need to export all email addresses to text file/spreadsheet, any ideas?

Look in the MailEnable installation folder at Config/<postoffice>/Mailboxes. The sys files in there contain a field with an email address that you could probably use.

Re: Remote SMTP Server Returned: 451 4.3.2

The remote server could be greylisting or have a receive limit. You would need to contact whoever runs the remote server as there is nothing ME can do about that.

Do you have SMTP retries set ? That would get around greylisting by retrying after a temporary failure.

Re: Spam problem

Your DNS entry has a SPF record but you don't seem to be checking. SPF would fail that email that is supposedly coming from you as the email server it came from would not be authorised to send for your domain. Check SMTP Properties under Sender Policy Framework to enable, and then set a filter to qu...

Re: ListSrv Capabilities: Pre-Sales 5-10 day purchase time.

Our largest list is only around 3000 emails, and we use Enterprise edition, so I'm not sure how it would be in Standard edition.

Re: ListSrv Capabilities: Pre-Sales 5-10 day purchase time.

Currently no "specific time" mailing, they go out when received so you would have to handle the timing issue externally.

Generally the SMTP activity/debug log files will have all the information about connections successful or otherwise.

Re: Help! Setting up an SPF Record for my Domain

This is what their own SPF record shows:

include:_netblocks1.mailhostbox.com include:_netblocks2.mailhostbox.com include:_netblocks3.mailhostbox.com

Try adding those to your SPF record.
