Re: Activesync - could not contact license server

I'm also having the same issue. This is not acceptable. Licenses should be cached locally on the server. You already know how many are active and when it expires. At the very least, license verification should only apply for new mailboxes, not existing ones. Please provide an ETA when this issue wil...

Outlook 2013 Can't create Contact Group

I'm connected to ME using Exchange ActiveSync connector. It appears that EAS doesn't support creating or even syncing Contact Groups from Outlook 2013. The button to create a group is disabled in Outlook. I tried creating one in Web Mail and it doesn't sync to the client. Is this a known issue? Are ...

[SOLVED] iPhone autodiscovery not working

Hi, I'm evaluating Enterprise and Exchange ActiveSync. I have everything configured, and all the tests pass. I've used the Micosoft Exchange Tests and here is the response I get: <?xml version="1.0"?> <Autodiscover xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSch...

I wrote a framework for creating Filters that load as .NET Assemblies or VB6 COM components, so they run in-proc in stead of out-of-proc.

A while back, I wrote a .NET wrapper around the Filter interface used by the Antivirus filter in ME Pro. It basically works like the MTA Pickup event, but is loaded In Proc instead of being called as an out of process executable. The wrapper allows you to create a filter as a .NET assembly or VB COM...

Anyway, to get back to the specific question: How do you hide accounts from the XP Welcome Screen?

This article explains the registry entry needed to hide accounts.

There's no way to do what you want. The SMTP greeting is sent by the server immediately up connection. At this point, all it know is the IP address. There's is no way it could tell what domain the client is trying to send to. I also have multiple domains on a single IP address. Here is what I do. I ...

Sorry... didn't catch the 2003 reference. You're right about the Network Service account. I'd check with FileMon to see what the issue is then.

You need to make sure that the ASPNET account has Modify permission for the Postoffices folder. By default, restricted users (like the ASPNET account) only have Read permissions. You may need to do the same for the Config folder as well. You should try using FileMon from www.sysinternals.com. This w...

My bad. Ignore what I said earlier. I typed in babyfirstsite.com without the 's' after baby. That's why I got such goofy results.

As far as I can see, everything looks like it should. Again, sorry for butting in and making things more confusing

Hi, sorry to bust in to this thread, but I also did a test at www.dnsreport.com It seems that there are a lot of problems with your DNS and MX settings. For example, you can expect a lot of mail to be rejected because you don't have a PTR record. Setting up a mail server isn't like using Outlook. Yo...
