8.50 Web Admin problems

Post by Brett Rowbotham »

The following problems were experienced in Web Admin with a newly upgraded (8.04 to 8.50) Enterprise using both IE11 and Chrome:

1. The new login page will not accept Enter to continue with login, the button must be clicked.
2. Clicking on System Messages shows the message "The specific request cannot be executed from current Application Pool".

Cheers,
Brett

Hi,

I can confirm the first error, I also have this problem in Chrome (latest), IE (11), Safari (5.1.7).
Firefox (22, 28 and 29) however, does work like it should!

H,
1. The new login page will not accept Enter to continue with login, the button must be clicked.
Issue has been raised.
2. Clicking on System Messages shows the message "The specific request cannot be executed from current Application Pool".
What are you referring to? In the MeTray utility?

For item 2 in Web Admin there is a menu section on the left under System with the entry System Messages (as well as Track Message and Service Status). That is what I am referring to.

Brett

Can you please lodge a support ticket under "defect" for this one so we can login to your server and troubleshoot in more detail?

Simple work-around on my server is to edit bin\NETWebAdmin\Mondo\lang\sys\login.aspx and change line 90 from

Code: Select all

<form id="FrmLogin" runat="server">
to

Code: Select all

<form id="FrmLogin" runat="server" defaultbutton="btnLogin">
but that will probably be overwritten on the next update so hopefully a fix will included by then.

Cheers,
Brett

8.53 still does not include this simple fix and overwrote my change, as predicted.
