We're running Enterprise 9.12 and this problem has been happening since upgrading to version 8. Never happened running earlier versions. It happens 5 or 6 times a week. Mailenable just stops. Messages start to back up in the SMTP queue, all empty. Webmail ceases to work and no one can send via their Thunderbird clients.
Sometimes a server restart fixes the issue, but most of the time we have to delete the files in the SMTP queue (both inbound and outbound), then restart. And only a full server restart will do. If we re-start all the Mailenable services, it will not work. The same thing happens. The SMTP queue just fills up with empty messages.
Nothing stands out in the logs either. It acts like a pack mule that just sits down and refuses to continue.
Any ideas?
