Hi
Maybe I'm in the wrong forum, but wasn't sure where else to ask.
I have a server on the internet running Mailenable Standard and I am very happy with the software. A big thank you to the developers here
Now my question. When running www.dnsreport.com it suggest to have multiple MX records.
How would I setup a a domain with multiple MX records and how would I configure Mailenable to work with that?
Any hints highly appreciated.
Matth
Multiple MX Records
you have to arrange with someone/a company for backup email service. then add a second MX record in DNS with a higher number priority. to set up ME for this you do the following....
Add a new postoffice, add a new domain in that postoffice, under that domain click "Act as Smart Host" then add the name of the primary mailserver and click ok. (ex. mail.domain.com)
Thats setting up a backup mailserver in a nutshell...
Also you can go to www.diywebserver.com and post on the forum, there's a whole section for exchanging mailservers and dns servers....
