Forgive me if I articulate this badly, mail servers aren't my area of expertise.
I'd like to install MailEnable standard to see if its a suitable alternative to the basic windows server SMTP service. Specifically I'd like to see the kind of SMTP logs that are generated when emails are sent out from a web application.
I know MailEnable is a fully featured email solution but I don't ultimately intend to use it for incoming email or mail boxes so I'm not sure how to install it so that it will run successfully but without affecting actual company email accounts. I may be misunderstanding how the setup works, but I can't risk entering our domain information not knowing what the immediate result might be!
I guess SMTP out only isn't a use case that MailEnable would officially support, but has anyone managed to do it? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
