Hi,
The system messages are full of 'Temporarily blocked IP address x.x.x.x for abuse of [SMTP] with username xxx@xxx.xx
Which is really nice, because it means its working..
..BUT..
they return an hour later and they have another X attempts trying to hack the password of accounts..
I've search everywhere, but I cant find any settings to change for this..
- I would like to be able to extend the period of being unblocked again
- I would like a more permanent block for trying to login to accounts which don't even exist on the system and never have (sure hacking attempt)
- I would like a permanent block option from the System messages screen, I can clearly see which ones are hackers, but have no way of instantly blocking them. a button or a right mouse option to block the IP address would be very nice..
- or even better; instantly report it to spamcop or spamhaus..
thnx in advance..

Re: Settings of Temporarily block IP addresses
isn't there a way to do this? a right mouse block option or something which moves the temp blocked ip's to fully blocked list?
or where is the location on disk of these temporarily blocked ip addresses?
or an option/setting to make this temp abuse block longer than an hour?

Re: Settings of Temporarily block IP addresses
I have the same situation and would like to block the IP addresses for a longer period than an hour.
Hope somebody will answer this.

Re: Settings of Temporarily block IP addresses
Hi there,
I found an solution on this but it's annoying.
You have to open a inbox firewall rule and add manually the IP that you want to block.
I hope that will help others.
