When I login to the web admin for the Mail Enable version 5 till 5.11, I was utterly disappointed with the features.
They lack so many important features that the domain administrators are looking for. Here are the list:
a) With the introduction of domain quota features in 5.11, the domain administrator would like to view the account's disk usage online. In this way, they would know which account is utilizing the most.
b) Secondly, with today's fast processing speed, disk calculation should be done on the fly and not pre-calculated. This is important as the user may have deleted large amount of emails and would like to check the latest usage.
c) There is no traffic reports for the administrator to view who is the likely culprit who is causing the spamming for domain.
d) The system administrator cannot view the summary of the domains traffic
e) There is no way to view log so that the postoffice or domain administrator can check if the email went to the account's junk or inbox, or did it arrive in the mailenable system.
f) There is no import and export option in the Directory.
There are many rich features in the MailEnable. But in today context, everything is web bound and not towards application bound. The benefit of web bound allows the individual user or administrator to administrate their account and domain. However, with MailEnable today, I still would have to reply manually to my customers on their request on such things because I have to remote login to the server to view the logs and Mailenable administration program.
I have done a web application for the log tracking for one of the customer who is using MailEnable. I am sure Mailenable can do better than me.
These request are not that demanding as it should be a standard.
