Log Analyzer: Please don't add incomplete utilities!

Post by Giampaolo Bellavite »

I'm testing the Enterprise Version. I see there is an utility called "Log Analyser" I will find very useful only when it will be fully functional. But so far choosing the POP log source or HTTP mail I receive a sad message "JHTTPMail (sic) or POP log analysis will be available soon".

So what do you think customer first impression will be on a software sold with incomplete utilities? Please don't add features in your software if still incomplete, thanks!

(BTW, Any news about a fully functional log analyser version?)

Releasing programs/utils bit at a time is a nice way to introduce it to the public. Trying to do everything in one go can cause lots of issue and also make it so the release takes longer as development and testing time goes up.

After 12 years, utilities are very old, incomplete and the windows aren't resizable (a problem to read some data).

Are there new features for future releases? I agree that if the utility works, that's fine, but some minor improvements can still be made :)
