High outgoing volume detection

Post by jglazer »

Is there a way to have the system notify me if there is a threshold is reached on a user sending email? Case in point, someone cracks the user's password and then starts sending thousands of spam messages. I would like to be notified if, say, a user sends more than 100 emails a day or to more than 100 recipients or something. Is there a report I can look at?

Thank you!!

It happened again this morning. Is there no solution?

Right-click the ME tray application and select Configure Alerts. You can elect to get emails when monitored service events are triggered.

Unfortunately you cannot currently set your own threshold values, but it is at least something.

Cheers,
Brett

Will I get the alerts even if I'm logged out of the server?

I actually had these configured already. It doesn't tell me anything bout excessive useage.
