To enable logging, open Notepad or another text editor and paste the following into it:
set MOZ_LOG=IMAP:4,timestamp
set
MOZ_LOG_FILE=%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\imaplog
"%ProgramFiles%\Mozilla
Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe"
Save the file with the .bat extension to create a batch file. Then run the batch file as Administrator. This will run Thunderbird and generate a log file on the Desktop. If the file is not generated, check the Error console in Thunderbird. This is accessed by selecting the Tools->Developer Tools->Console menu item. If you see the log file activity, you can right click the window and select Save all Messages to File from the popup menu.
