Re: PTR Records

I assume as long as you have an A record with mail.<mydomain>.com, then the Cloudflare PTR record using mail.<mydomain>.com is good to go as long as the ISP has the PTR record setup as xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.in-addr.arpa. 86400 IN PTR mail.<mydomain>.com.

Re: PTR Records

I had the PTR record changed to mail.<mydomain>.com and changed the Cloudflare PTR record to match.
Now the only question is the Mailenable SMTP default domain.
mail.<mydommain>.com or <mydommain>.com
Or does that not even matter?

PTR Records

My ISP set my PTR record to inmail.mydomain.com.
Do I need to set the default mail domain in the SMTP General properties to inmail.mydomain.com, or can I just use mydomain.com?
I also suspect the Cloudflare PTR record also needs to be set to inmail.mydomian.com. Correct?
Basically I just want to ...

Filter TLDs

I have been using this simple filter to block unwanted TLDs, Problem is, some legit TLDs get blocked.
I prefer this filter method becaue I can send those emails to a specfic address for later inspection which is how I found this issue.
Using my firewall can block legit email that I cannot see. So I ...

Re: Transfer calendar and contacts from IMAP to webmail

I have everything working now.
The key is to first get all the Calendars, Contacts, and Tasks synced to webmail using CalDav Scncronizer. Then setup the phone. Then you can delete the email account on the computer and recreate it as ActiveSync account. It should then sync with webmail.

Also, If you ...

Re: Setup account in Android Phone using Outlook

I know what causes this issue now. If you already have a Microsoft account with that email, the Android Outlook app will error when adding that email. So what I did was go into the account settings in the Microsoft account, add another email I do not care about, make that the primary, then delete ...

Setup account in Android Phone using Outlook

Whenever I try to setup some accounts In Outlook on an Android Samsung phone, I enter 'ADD ACCOUNT" enter the email address, then get Access denied error. All accounts install and work fine in Desktop Outlook, Thunderbird, Webmail, and Samsung email app.

Here is the thing, some accounts work and ...

Re: Transfer calendar and contacts from IMAP to webmail

Let me setup this scenerio.
A client has IMAP in Outlook with 100's of events, contacts and tasks.
Now this client wants them in webmail and his phone.
They want to make changes in Outlook, webmail, or phone and have it sync on all devices.

CalDAV is not a great option since it involves installing ...

Re: Transfer calendar and contacts from IMAP to webmail

I did get ActiveSync fully working but still stuck with the transfer issue. It seems there is no way to transfer existing Calendars, Contacts, and Tasks in Outlook from an IMAP account to an ActiveSync account. Maybe import them to webmail using CalDAV/CardDAV. I will try that tomorrow.

Re: Transfer calendar and contacts from IMAP to webmail

Thanks for the reply,

The benefits seem to be worth it, although I haven't been able to get it fully functional yet.
I will post my results when I get to that point.

Seemed to work better using PST transfer for the calendar.
