Re: Windows 2016 firewall

Unfortunately, the list of required ports is not complete.
As soon as video chat is to be used, the ports are not sufficient.

Re: Chat video call dont work

I think the problem is WebRTC, we also tried to add video to the chat function 2-3 years ago. Unfortunately without success, because we have a firewall in front of our mail server and this firewall NATed the Traffic. This means that the necessary WebRTC ports cannot be opened. Unfortunately, I haven...

Re: SMTP - public IP block list b4 connection / escalate temp IP blocks

We have some security features in our upstream hardware firewall, but they can also be mapped via a virtual firewall, where there are various blacklists that are used. We also have a virus scanner on the ME server. In the ESET logs, I see a few IPs that actually get through the firewall, but these a...

End of Life - Outlook COM-Add-Ins replacement

Microsoft has recently announced that the COM add-ins in the new Outlook versions will be disabled. Is there already a replacement plugin from you or how the connection is implemented alternatively? https://www.borncity.com/blog/2023/10/20/neues-outlook-microsoft-wird-com-add-ins-definitiv-nicht-unt...

Re: Out-of-Office email automation for MailEnable [v 0.1.8]

I have looked at the script and found some small problems and fixed them.
I will post a small tutorial in the next few days on how to "Install" the Out of Office Wizard.

The tool works really well, even with HTML mails.

Report of incorrect logins per hour

Hackers were able to "capture" about 200,000 accounts at the North-Face company with credential stuffing attack. This was because compromised login data from other breaches had already been used for the login attempts. The company only became aware of the attempted break-ins after almost a month, th...

Re: office 365 issue

We have the problem with some of our customers as well. However, not with O365 but with Office Home & Business 2021. When you want to exit Excel, the window is "grayed out" and at some point the message "no response" appears. Uninstalling the security update is not a "solution" for us or for our cus...

MAPI Plugin max Mail size

We keep having problems with the MAPI connector. Mails with more than 40 MB are transferred from the MAPI connector to the server. However, the server has a limit of 25 MB under SMTP incoming and outgoing. If such a large mail is then delivered internally to a recipient from the same post office, th...

Re: Mailbox Lockout

Hi Roger, A little late, but maybe it'll help someone. I had similar problems with our customers. We found out that the ME IMAP service has problems with some passwords. If there is a "\" in the password, Outlook cannot log in via IMAP. In the same setup wizard of outlook the SMTP connection is test...

Re: IP address connection restrictions - where are stored?

Hello, Ian,

Which table (on a Microsoft SQL Server) contains the blocked IP addresses from the SMTP Access Control List?

Greetings from Bavaria

Multiple contact folders

Is it possible to create multiple contact folders and syncronize those folders with Outlook?

In the description of the MAPI tool, the mail server does not support such subfolders.

Is there another way to connect multiple contact folders to Outlook?
