removing duplicate emails
due to a glitch of entirely our own making, we ended up with a ton of duplicate emails. is there a way to delete the duplicates through windows explorer because mail clients are having difficulty dealing with deleting them. the quantity of duplicate emails in one account is to the tune of 25,000--30...

Re: recovery of a mailbox from a backup
perfect, that worked. Same basic solution as my other question . I will have to file that away so I don't have to ask that again.

Looks like it worked, thank you. Do I now delete the _change.dty file from the folder?

inbox not showing all the mail
I have a user (uses Outlook 365) who had all the mail in his inbox disappear. When I look at his inbox folder on the server all the mail files appear to be there but they do not show up in outlook or on webmail. Can I delete the index file to have mailenable reindex the main files so they will show ...

recovery of a mailbox from a backup
if I want to recover a single users mailbox's Inbox from a previous day's backup, do I just need to recover the items from the users Mailroot folder or do I also have to recover the fileroot, indexroot and fileroot?

rearranging folders
Can folders be rearranged in file explorer rather than through a mail client/webmail. Users that keep all their mail have been archiving them in folders than are a subfolder of the Inbox rather than elsewhere. Moving the mail via a client takes a huge amount of time when there are 15,000 messages in...

General AntiVirus
I would like to use an antivirus to protect the mail server but I do not need it to check incoming mail as we use mxguarddog to do that. I simply want to protect the mail server generally. Do I need to exclude any of the mailenable folders after installing an antivirus product? Is there anything els...

Re: auto response and outlook.com
This issue has now been resolved. The problem arose from a setting in our spam filtering service, MXGuardDog. After going through the headers once again, I noticed something odd. It showed that the autoreply emails had a header showing the emails coming from the MXGuardDog servers and not our own. N...

counting number or Connector accounts
Does anyone know how the number of Outlook Connectors are counted? We are using the Enterprise version limited to 20 accounts. I assume, first of all, that a user can connect from several machines since people have laptops and desktops and mobile devices like tablets and phones. That would or should...

Re: auto response and outlook.com
Logs show multiple entries like: [0A29486ADA7D410F95E23EF8E3B15740.MAI] Sent autoresponder from PO=*******.com MBX=***** to [SMTP:SRS0=sawc=2B=outlook.com=*******@ik2.com]. New message Multiple entries because we have tried several times to get the auto reply to work, each entry is diffferent and is...

auto response and outlook.com
Hi;
I set an auto response which is working for every mail server I can test including gmail, however mail sent from an outlook.com account does not get an auto response reply. Anyone have any idea why that would be? EDIT: DKIM , DMARC and SPF are all setup and working correctly

email address forwarders/aliases
I will admit I am probably stunned, but with my existing email server (QMAIL), I can set up forwarders to send say info@mydomain.com to user1@mydomain.com and say sales@mydomain.com to user2@mydomain.com without setting up a mailbox for info@mydomain.com or sales@mydomain.com. Is there a way to do t...
