Outlook outbox error when email is wrong

I have a client which are in the middle of implementing Mailenable.

When we try to send to an adresse which somehow is wrong then it stays in the outox, and all other mails are not send. I don't wheater it is outlook connector or outlook. And outlook comes with a waring that it are not able to send at all.

Then we have to move all mails from the outbox to drafts and try one by one, and restart outlook every time one mail are causing this.

Windows 7, outlook 2010 (Danish version)

This is the error message, but i don't get it on other accounts?

Task 'Demo (Demo@atlantisrejser.dk) - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x800C8100) : 'Unknown Error 0x800C8100'

Hi, If you create a new profile in outlook can you still make this happen? if you can make this occur then it is also worth setting up the mailbox on another machine in a new profile and seeing if it happens there? If it still occurs in both of these situations then I think you should send through a support ticket via the following link so we can check this further:

Hi, I have tested it on other postoffices on the server, and there is no problems.

The problem is for all the mail boxes in the specific postoffices but not in other postoffices on the same server.

OK in that case what do the MailEnable SMTP logs say when the client sends a messages and it fails when it should not? You should also disable any client side firewalls or anti virus proxies for testing in case they are getting in the way of the sending.

I have setup MailEanble Enterprise Premium v5.06 on a network with about 100 total users including about 30 MAPI users. I get this error (Unknown Error 0x800C8100) in outlook whenever I send to a local user that does not exist. I constantly get this error until delete the email message from my Outbox and restart Outlook. I am using the latest version of the client (1.34). I get the same error in in Outlook 2003, 2007 and 2010.

I did a test and setup MailEnable with a catchall address and I donot get the error with the catchall enabled.
This is a problem. I do not want to have a catch all address. I want the sender to receive a message saying this user does not exist. It only happens when I send a message to a nonexisting local domain user while using outlook and the MAPI connecter.

Hi, The next minor release of the MAPI connector will have a change the ensures this message destined to a maibox that does not exist is cleared. The problem was that we were not working with the Outlook client to remove the message, in normal operation in this situation it is the clients responsibility to delete the message. With MAPI however it has to do the clean up itself as it does not send in the normal manner (via the SMTP service).

Probably, there’s an error regarding on the setting of the outlook and email you are using. Try to check the settings. Or it would be better if you try to search online on how to solve your problem.
