Hello,
We have an issue where subfolders are not populating in outlook 2013+
Outlook shows that it's connected, it shows the folders are up to date
when you switch folders and wait a while it will say updating folder but no emails ever appear and then it says folders are up to date.
the emails appear in webmail so they are there, and if we load up an IMap account with it they also show there.
ME: Enterprise 10.31
IIS: 10.0
OS: Server 2019
Hardware: Cloud / 2x2.20ghz Epyc / 4gb Ram
Active/Total Accounts: 200/850
the mailboxes having the issue range in sizes from 2gb to 23gb.
any help would be appreciated, if anyone needs further info please ask.
Thanks,
No mail in subfolders, Inbox also doing some weird things

Hi,
Please upgrade to version 10.34 first to see if this addresses your problems.

Hi Ian,
I can give that a try probably next week as it will have to be scheduled.
I do not see anything at all related to EAS in the 10.33 and 10.34 notes.
did you have ideas we can try between then and now?

Hi,
You have indicated your running 10.31 in your post. There are changes to other areas regarding folder editing etc in the latest version. Also best to debug the latest version then an old one.

Re: No mail in subfolders, Inbox also doing some weird things
I squeezed in a late-night update tonight and we are now on 10.34, the upgrade itself went smooth but it broke ActiveSync entirely and I spent 45 minutes troubleshooting that, I ended up having to add my own config to the web.config in IIS to get it loading but it is working now and passes verification on the mail enable ActiveSync tool and the MS ActiveSync Exchange test.
the problem persists, the folders are there but they don't contain any emails, the inbox and sent items are the only ones that populate and if you wait a few minutes they will show no emails in those folders, and then it's like it's re-downloading them again but every other folder remains blank.

Hi Ian,
we updated but are still having the same issue, any thoughts on our initial problem?

Hi,
The best way forward is to lodge a support ticket and provide details of the problem along with server access and an example account we can diagnose.

Re: No mail in subfolders, Inbox also doing some weird things
I have experienced this issue for several years on a Windows 10/Outlook 2016 machine and have never been able to figure out why. Other machines I have don't have this issue. Will be interested to hear if you're able to find a fix.
