I have had a blacklist problem and looking at resolving.
How do I get ALL mails to authenticate when going to external addresses (that is mail account not hosted on server).
I have BOTH 1. Allow relay for authenticated senders and
2. Allow relay for privilege IP ranges checked
however I am still seeing mail being generated from a hosted wordpress site for registered users to external account without authentication.
How is this possible?

Re: Authenticate mails going out
Hi,
You need to search the SMTP activity log file for the SMTP transaction from the WordPress IP address and then associate that to the SMTP debug log file as it will report how it was granted relay rights.
