transfer licence to another server

Post by kinglestat »

Our windows server has a problem we cannot sort out. There is documentation of how to transfer mailenable; but how do we transfer the licence as name of new server is different?

From Licence FAQ in Online Services

How do I reassign a License Key to another server?
Click the “Details” button and type in the name and CPU count of the server you wish to move the license key to. Click “Re-issue”. Once you have re-issued the license key, a new key code will be generated and will appear under the "License Keys" list in Online Services.

To apply this key to your MailEnable installation, you should copy this key and use the Registration Wizard to manually enter the license key.

Note: The system will allow you to re-issue the license up to 5 times, after which you will need to contact sales@mailenable.com to have the issue count reset.
