DKIM on external domain

Post by siteffect »

Hi all, I am trying to use DKIM on a mail domain that is actually hosted somewhere else.

i added the domain example.com to a postoffice as a Smart Host

I created dkim key and added that to the DNS of the domain.

the issue now is that I can send to everybody, but no-one from that external domain can send to any of my domains hosted on my mailenable.

the error is
ME-IXXXX: [2392] An attempt to send as mail from test@example.com occurred but the sender did not authenticate and the IP address (****) is not defined as a local or privileged IP address. To allow this request, add the IP address to the Privileged IPs list under the SMTP|Relay properties.

I can not add all the privilidged ip's as they are office 365 and change, I also am not going to my my server an open relay.

any ideas is I need dkim to be able to send from that domain and SPF is not an options.

All other users can send as they are authenticating but all users from @example.com can not send to my server when example.com domain is created, not even when is is disabled.
