After a server reboot (e.g. Windows patchday) following services are down:
- Chat Service
- HTTPMail Service
- IMAP Service
- Indexing Service
- Migration Service
- POP Service
- SMTP Connector.
These services have to be started manually either in MailEnable Management - Servers - localhost - System - Sevices Status or in Server Manager - Dashboard - local Server - Services.
This phenomenon appeared in version 10.37. A new installation doesn't help.

Hi,
Are the services you listed set to start automatically under the Windows > Services?

Yes, all services are set to start automatically except Migration Service (Start manual). I don't use any migration.MailEnable-Ian wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 11:45 pmHi,

Re: Some services are down after a server reboot
Hi,
Have you inspected the Windows event log to see why the services were unable to start after the upgrade and system reboot?

Re: Some services are down after a server reboot
I got only one message in the event log:
Failure: (MailEnable POP3 Service (*:\**********\MailEnable\Bin64\MEPOPS.EXE) error: 10049) - ME-F0090: Unable to bind to IP Address (<ip4addr>), Port (110), Error (10049). Could not start service. Check that another service is not running or security software has not prevented access to the port.
No problems if I start manually the services.

Re: Some services are down after a server reboot
Hi reinhard_g,
I have the same issue after migration. All MailEnable services were not starting after reboot.
Would you describe the detail of how to fix the problem from "ME-Installer: 11 Apply Strict Server Security Policy (Advanced Configuration Only)"?
Thank you!

Re: Some services are down after a server reboot
- Please start in the folder .../bin the program meinstaller.exe.
. - Select # 11 (Apply Strict Server Security Policy)
. - Execute
. - Warning: Are you shure you wish to run the services under IME_SYSTEM? - Yes
. - Enter the old or a new password for IME-SYSTEM - ok
. - Wait until "Operation was completet sucessfully" (about 30 - 60 sec) - ok
. - Close meinstaller.
. - Stop and start all services via MailEnable Management: Servers-<host>-System-Services Status: Stop all Services - Start all Services (better than Restart all Services)

Thank you for your reply.
But I could see only 1,2,4,8,9,10,12,13. No 11 option for me.
If somebody knows what the 11 option set, please let me know.
I write script and set the schedule manager to start services at startup now.
