Quota Questions

Post by R4LRetro »

Hello,

I am about to set quotas on all our mailboxes. This may be a dumb question, but does this only count the Inbox or the entire mailbox (Sent, Trash, archived folders). Also, can quotas be set per mailbox or is it a blanket application?

Also, is there a way to query all the mailboxes to get the mailbox sizes? I want to enable this in the MailEnable console but I don't want a performace dip if possible.

HI,

By default it count towards "All users mail folders counts towards quota (Example: Sent Items, Drafts, Inbox)". This can be changed to only count towards the inbox though. Please see:

Code: Select all

You will need to use the console and set the calculation method to calculate sizes when listing the mailboxes. Please see:

Code: Select all
