All email received from Gmail gets error 454 TLS not available due to server configuration issue

Post by refros »

Server Certificate has been requested and installed using iis Manager in Windows Server 2016 into Web Hosting and Personal.

You will note by the Clipboard01, Clipboard02 and Clipboard03 attached that it has been imported properly. And the private key has been imported.

This seems to affect only email received from Gmail and not other mail servers.

From SMTP Debug Log
08/21/22 14:30:39 Unable to use certificate, make sure private key is imported and required permissions are given. Error 0x8009030e returned by AcquireCredentialsHandle. See https://www.mailenable.com/kb/content/article.asp?ID=ME020479 for help.
08/21/22 14:30:39 SSL/TLS unable to be used due to error.

I did go thru the steps shown in https://www.mailenable.com/kb/content/article.asp?ID=ME020479 but to no avail.

No errors are shown in the Diagnostic Report.

I am using:
MailEnable Professional version 10.40
Windows Server 2016 Standard

Please help!

Hi,

The certificate does not have the associated private key when you imported the SSL. You can check this by right clicking on the refros.com certificate under the certificate store. You should have an option for All Tasks > Manage Private Keys. If that option is not there then that means you cannot set permissions on the certificate and need to re import correctly with the associated private key.
