Webmail and domains with an IP address different from the mail server

Post by robyone »

Hi, on a server with MailEnable Standard, I have imported mailboxes from another server via Migration Utility.
Now I have not yet transferred the domain name to this new server where there are the imported mailboxes: I can use the mailenable Webmail to access the imported mailboxes so that I can read the emails, even if the domain name has another IP address?
Obviously I don't want to access the webmail to receive or send mail, but only to read the imported mails.
I reach the webmail by typing the ip address of the new server in the browser, I see the login screen but when I type in the address and password, I get the error "Unknown or Disabled User!"
Thank you.

Hi,

Ensure that you have restarted the MailEnable server after you installed MailEnable as the environment variables need to take affect.
