the full message from the server:
The attachment could not be added to the message. An error occurred while uploading the file to the server.

running ME 2.33 Ent. on Win2k3 IIS 6.0 dotnet Frmwrk v2.0.50727
(NETWebMail & NETWebAdmin)
ME Diagnostic Report : Web Application Configuration Test
Everything in PASS except one item -

ASP.NET Compatability ;
MailEnable virtual directories appear to be configured to use a version of ASP.NET other than Version 1.1. You may need to make changes to the web.config file in order to use this version of the .NET Framework. Please see: KB: ME020437

Why the above item is showing in the report does not make any sense because the NETWebXXXX sites are configured for dotNet 2.0 and I have triple checked the IIS configurations and have run the MEInstall.exe utility to ensure that everything is correct.

SO! Why do I see that in the report AND why MORE IMPORTANTLY can't anyone attached and upload files via the WebMail interface.

thank you.

The ME web sites require ASP.Net 1.1 for them to work properly.

It's a bug with 2.33. Update to 2.35, which fixes the problem.
