Hi all
I know this is probably simple but have spent an hour now trawling Google and the FAQ's and have probably got to the stage where I am just looking through things now.
I need to whitelist a client who hosts on our servers domain so emails generated from his site of which he receives copy are not marked as spam.
We have enabled grey listing and he has said this is now causing a problem as all emails from his site are marked as spam and going to junk.
Thanks for any pointers.
Cheers
Cam

Re: How to whitelist a domain?
if they are getting marked as spam in MailEnable then you can add the server IP to the following locations:
To whitelist a remote server and prevent from being affected by greylisting:
ME Admin MMC->Servers->Localhost->Connectors->SMTP Properties->Greylisting TAB
Add IP to bottom section to "Allow IP exceptions to the greylisting
To whitelist IP from most SMTP spam and connection services
ME Admin MMC->Servers->Localhost->Connectors->SMTP Properties->Whitelist TAB
Add IP to whitelist list.

Re: How to whitelist a domain?
Hi Ben,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
We used to use Plesk as the control panel and were just able to add the domain to Plesk such as *.yourdomain.com.
Is there a way of adding the domain instead of just the IP directly in Mailenable by any chance?
And if not by IP do you mean the main IP of the shared server or the actual IP of his site itself?
I know this is probably simple but we have lost of our main tech who used to handle all of this this so am trying to get by until we get a replacement on board.
Thanks again

Re: How to whitelist a domain?
No this would be risky as the domain can be forged so you would be whitelisting spam email and the like.Is there a way of adding the domain instead of just the IP directly in Mailenable by any chance?
Mail servers are only concerned with the IP that is connecting to it, so you would whitelist an IP that would be showing in the MailEnable SMTP logs when a client or server connects.And if not by IP do you mean the main IP of the shared server or the actual IP of his site itself?

Re: How to whitelist a domain?
Is there a way to white list an IP address for the IMAP Service in Mail Enable ?
Is it possible to write some extension module for having this feature or there is some other workaround ?
