Postoffice inaccessable

Post by jglazer »

I have a customer who has multiple postoffices. Periodically they loose the ability to access their mail. I am assuming that there were too many attempts at connecting or invalid passwords or something.

Can I get a list of files that I could look at (besides the huge log files) that would tell me why they are locked out? Perhaps auth.tab or something on the user level or IP level or something. I can never find anything in any file (but there are thousands of them) that shows me what happened. Eventually it clears up and they can access again.

Please, just a list of files that i could look at for perhaps their IP or maybe user invalid access or something?

Thanks!

Start with the SMTP activity log to see if there is any issues when trying to send email.

Policy violations and the like.
