Update 10.34 Enterprise Issue

Post by rfwilliams777 »

I installed the update last night and ever since then, my mobile devices--Apple and Samsung--are unable to connect to the mail server except only using Wi-Fi. The error is (on my iPhone) "Cannot Get Mail. The user name or password for .... is incorrect". The mail server hasn't changed except installed the newest release over the top of the existing software. The accounts haven't been touched in years. Everything was working fine until after I did the update. And because the phones are using IPv6, I cannot see if there is an IP address that is blocked and whitelist it or remove it or whatever.
Also I am unable to access webmail from these phones. I get "Unknown or disabled user".

Hi,

Nothing has changed that would cause the type of behavior your seeing. Best way forward is to lodge a support ticket and then provide the relevant information so we can help you further.

Ultimately I had to revert it back to 10.33 for things to work again.
Let me see what I can do about getting you access.

I upgraded last weekend to from 10.31 and it started doing the same thing to me. The IMAP log error is

"The mailbox you specified does not have access to this service from this region. 154 25 "

I assumed this was the Geo Location being jacked up so I turned it off and finally after all the phones had gotten past the "Abuse" lockout they all started working.

I opened a support ticket and it still has not been acknowledged. :(

Edit: as an added note, not all the the cell providers IP subnets are affected. It seems all of T-Mobile and only part of AT&T and Sprint from what I can gather querying my users.

Hello,

I am NOT trying to muddy the waters here... However, we have noticed that SMTP connections are failing and can see no valid reason. Incoming mail works fine. Outbound through web interface is fine. Outbound trying to connect via SMTP is a no go. Anyone have thoughts?

Blessings,
Amanda

Update,

Ian provided me with a replacement Geo Location db that fixed my problem. Turned it all back on and no problems with any of the cellular networks connecting. Hopefully he will post it as a hot fix or put it in the next update.

Thanks Ian.

Hi,

It should already be available in the latest beta on the beta page.

I am using the beta 10.35 and I also have this issue with cell phone users.
'The mailbox you specified does not have access to this service from this region'

Please advise how to fix.

Hello,

Ian said the updated db is in the Beta release. If it is then just go to http://mailenable.com/beta/ and get the Beta version and install it.
