Time limit for logging

Post by sagelike »

Hi there,

Is there a way to limit log retention to 30 days, for example? IMAP logs consume an enormous amount of space and there likely isn't any good reason to keep more than 30 days worth of logs for IMAP or any of the other services.

Thanks
G

Under the Management Service there is a "Log Archive Agent". You can customize there how long to keep each of the services' logs.

Thanks for getting back to me CF. I checked that and the only option is how many days I can keep the logs unarchived. The default is 45 days. I believe it compresses them into .cab files but it doesn't allow me to purge logs after a set period.

I have logs going back to 2016!

Hi,

We only provide an option to archive. You can write a script in Powershell do delete files older than X days. Example here:
