Dear IAN / Mail Enable Expert,

We are running MailEnable Enterprise Edition Premium server for long but now getting following error from a month ago, we have upgraded to our mail server to latest build version 10.41, but we are getting alerts from MailEnable Server frequently. Please let us know why it is giving alerts. On the time we receive alerts, check webmail access working properly.

MailEnable WebMail is not responding.

MailEnable WebMail Responsiveness: Encountered an error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:80
Resloution required as I am on the most latest version on Windows Server 2012 R2.

Hi,

The message is generated by the METray alerter tool. It tries to connect to http://mewebmail.localhost to see if webmail is running. This is the default URL which is installed for the webmail IIS site. If it is not available it will send the email. From your error message it looks like you have removed the URL binding or do not have webmail running. If so, you should unselect the option in the alerting section to not monitor webmail.
