inbox not showing all the mail
inbox not showing all the mail
I have a user (uses Outlook 365) who had all the mail in his inbox disappear. When I look at his inbox folder on the server all the mail files appear to be there but they do not show up in outlook or on webmail. Can I delete the index file to have mailenable reindex the main files so they will show up again? Or is there something else I should do. I do have a backup from the previous day of the server.

Re: inbox not showing all the mail
Hi,
If the files with the MAI file extension are there, just create an empty file called _change.dty. This will update the index. You can delete the index by deleting the _index.xml file, but this will remove the flags on the messages, so using _change.dty is the better way to do it.

Looks like it worked, thank you. Do I now delete the _change.dty file from the folder?

Re: inbox not showing all the mail
that file should already be gone. It goes away once the folder refresh is done.
