I have installed ME Pro including ClamAV on Win Server 25 standard. WindowsDefender is off.
In MessageFilter -> ME Antivirus Filter I enabled ClamAV, pointing to C:\PROGRA~2\MAILEN~1\Antivirus\ClamAV\clamdscan.exe, all default settings.
I restart MTA service. WhHen I try "test settings" in the Antivirus filter the mgt console freezes. It becomes unresponsive, noting happens.
From a cmd terminal c:\clamdscan C:\Windows\notepad.exe --no-summary works perfectly.
Also with the EICAR virus in the scratch dir, clamdscan recognises the (test) virus file.
freshclam and clamd are both installed as service and running. Database is recent.
Tried installing separate version of clamav, but has similar result.
I have been digging all day, cannot find a solution.
Anyone have an idea????
