SUMMARY
When adding a new IP Address to my server, MailEnable will only bind to a single interface
DETAIL
If a new IP address has been
added and MailEnable has not bound it to the SMTP service then the SMTP service is required to be
restarted.
Then in the Properties of the SMTP Connector in the
MailEnable Administration Program, ensure that SMTP has been
configured to bind to the relevant IP addresses.
Also, ensure that no other SMTP
service has bound to SMTP port 25.
Alternatively, this may be a firewall configuration. A line
in the Diagnostic Report indicates that the server is bound and responding on
the new address.

It is
also possible to confirm that the server is correctly configured by
telneting to that address on port 25 of the server (on the server itself). Try
configuring a mail client on the server and sending a mail message via the new
bound address. If these functions work locally, but do not work remotely, a
firewall is preventing access to the
server.
