Configuring Calendaring and Contacts with eM Client

SUMMARY

eM Client provides access to hosted mail, calendars, tasks and contacts.

To configure eM Client to access MailEnable, you need to configure both IMAP (for messages) and CalDAV/CardDAV for scheduling and contacts.

This article provides information on configuring scheduling and contacts.

DETAIL

To configure CalDAV/CardDAV support within eM Client, please see below:

  1. In the upper left corner, select Menu > Tools > Accounts. Click the + symbol to Open the "New Account" dialog.
  2. Expand the Calendar section, choose CalDAV then Next.
  3. In the Account URL field, enter the URL to the host/port publishing CalDAV/CardDAV. e.g.: http://example.com:8080/.
  4. For the 'User name' field, be sure to enter your full MailEnable username and password in their respective fields.
  5. Complete the wizard and then select either Calendar or Contacts from the left hand panel.

Note: If you nominate the root for the host site providing DAV services, eM Client will configure both calendaring and addressbooks (i.e.: even though you choose CalDAV, it will also configure CardDAV).

You can also directly access calendar resources at:

http[s]://host[:port]/calendar
http[s]://host[:port]/calendar/mailbox@postoffice/calendar

You can also directly access addressbook resources at:

http[s]://host[:port]/contacts
http[s]://host[:port]/contacts/mailbox@postoffice/contacts
